The hopes are high for the UL Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team for the upcoming 2014 season and at least one national publication can see why.

Collegiate Baseball released its preseason college baseball poll Friday and the Cajuns will start out the season ranked No. 23.

The Cajuns were 43-10 a year ago, ranking among the national leaders in home runs and runs scored.

There were no other Sun Belt teams in the top 25 and LSU is the only other state team
