The Ragin’ Cajuns have ranked in the Top 40 nationally in average attendance each year since 1999. With record-breaking ticket sales for the upcoming 2011 season, there’s a significant chance that the Cajuns could record the program’s highest average attendance mark and highest national ranking.

A record number of season tickets have already been sold for the upcoming Ragin’ Cajuns baseball season and only a limited amount of available season tickets remain. The record breaking number means that seating is extremely limited.

In order to ensure a seat at "The Tigue" during the 2011 season, call the UL Ticket Office at 337-851-2011 or visit the ticket booth at "The Tigue" from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to buy season tickets.

Games at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field have become more than just baseball and it’s an atmosphere unequaled by many schools across the country.

Since 1999, Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns baseball program has been ranked in the Top 40 in NCAA Division I home average attendance each season. Four times Louisiana has seen its average attendance higher than 2,000.

In 2007 UL drew an average of 2,346 fans per game, which ranked 24th among the national leaders, and serves as the high-water mark to this date.

By adding to the record number of season tickets already sold for the 2011 season, there’s a significant chance that the Cajuns could record the program’s highest average attendance mark and highest national ranking.

"Because of our fan support we enjoy one of the best home field advantages in the nation," said head coach Tony Robichaux. "There’s no doubt that our fans are what makes "The Tigue" a special place…without them it’s just another baseball park."

With a veteran team, both in position players and pitchers, in 2011 the Ragin’ Cajuns seek to defend their Sun Belt Conference championship. This season the squad has the opportunity to earn repeat honors as Sun Belt champions, which would be a first for the program.

Louisiana officially kicks off the 2011 season – which marks the 17th season of the Tony Robichaux Era – on Friday, Feb. 18 when the Ragin’ Cajuns host Southeast Missouri State in a 6 p.m. contest at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
