Baseball: Moore Named NCBWA Freshman All-American
LAFAYETTE, La. – Freshman right-hander Dylan Moore added another honor to his resume as he was named one of 34 members to the 2015 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Freshman All-American Team, the NCBWA announced on Monday. Moore, a first team selection as a reliever, is the first player in program history to earn multiple Freshman All-American accolades in the same season. He was also named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American earlier this month. A native of Hughes Springs, Texas, Moore broke the program record for saves in a season with 13 on the year. Moore recorded four saves in the postseason holding opponents to one earned run in 9.2 innings. Moore, an All-Sun Belt Second Team selection, finished the year with a 1.60 ERA in 50.2 innings. He also notched a 3-3 record with 40 strikeouts and allowed a run in only nine of his 32 appearances.
