Baseball: Milhorn Grabs February LSWA Pitcher of the Month HonorLAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns pitcher Greg Milhorn was selected as the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) Baseball Pitcher for the month of February, in a vote by a statewide media panel, the LSWA announced on Friday.
Milhorn, a junior from Texarkana, Ark., went 2-0 with a 0.73 earned run average in three appearances for the nationally-ranked Ragin’ Cajuns. He threw six scoreless innings his debut against Eastern Illinois and earned the win against top-ranked LSU after allowing one run on four hits in five innings of work.
The right-hander struck out five batters and held opponents to a .146 batting average in 12.1 innings of work.
The Cajuns open a three-game series with Texas Southern tonight at 6 p.m. at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field.
