LSWA HITTER OF THE WEEK
Antoine Duplantis, LSU – OF, Soph., Lafayette, La.
Sophomore leftfielder Antoine Duplantis enjoyed a remarkable week, batting .425 (10-for-23) in five games with two doubles, one homer, 14 RBI, seven runs and a .536 on-base percentage … in LSU’s three-game SEC series sweep of Georgia, Duplantis batted .615 (8-for-13) with one double, one homer, 10 RBI, six runs and a .688 on-base percentage … he set the LSU single-game record for hits on Friday night versus UGA when he went 6-for-6 at the plate with one double and a career-high seven RBI … in Game 2 of the Georgia series on Saturday,  Duplantis launched a solo homer in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie before extending the Tigers’ lead in the fifth to 4-1 with a bases-loaded, two-RBI single on a 3-2 count after fouling off several pitches … Duplantis is hitting  .375 (33-for-88) this season with four doubles, two triples, one homer, 21 runs, eight steals and 28 RBI.

LSWA PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Gunner Leger, UL Lafayette – LHP, Jr., Lake Charles, La.
Junior Gunner Leger continued his run of exceptional starts on the mound against Appalachian State tossing seven scoreless innings to improve his record to 4-1 on the year … Leger limited the Mountaineers to two hits while tying a career-best with 10 strikeouts … The left-hander allowed just one runner to reach second base in the outing facing three over the minimum … Leger has combined to post three shutouts on the year and has allowed just one run in his last 27.2 innings dropping his ERA to a league-best 0.85.
