Conrad And Adams Tabbed To The NCBWA All-American Squads

 

 

 

DALLAS, Texas – The number of accolades continue to pile up for Louisiana baseball juniors Jace Conrad and Caleb Adams as the pair was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association 19th annual Division I All-America baseball squads, the NCBWA announced on Wednesday.

 

 

 

Conrad was named a first team second baseman, while Adams was selected as a second team outfielder. This is the third first team All-America honor for Conrad (Baseball America, Louisville Slugger), while Adams was tabbed a first teamer by Baseball America earlier in the day.

 

 

 

A native of Lafayette, La., Conrad paced the squad with 96 hits posting a .364 average, 20 doubles, three triples, nine home runs and 65 RBI. Conrad, the 2014 Sun Belt Player of the Year, was recently named a finalist for the Gregg Olson Breakout Player of the Year award.

 

 

 

Adams, a first team All-Sun Belt honoree, ranks in the top five in the nation in slugging and on base percentage and had a team-best .381 average, seven doubles, 11 home runs, 67 runs and 46 walks. The junior also had 85 hits, 18 doubles and drove in 42 runs.
