Baseball: Cajuns take to Twitter to thank baseball fans

Kristin Askelson, The Advertiser, June 8, 2016

In the latest chapter in the love affair between the UL baseball program and its fans, Cajuns players took to Twitter on Wednesday thank fans for supporting them this season.

Head coach Tony Robichaux likes to say he’s teaching players more about being good men than being good baseball players. If the players, below, are any indication, Robichaux is succeeding on that front.

The Cajuns went 43-21 this season, which ended with a second loss to the Arizona Wildcats Monday in the NCAA Lafayette Regional at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field. They’ll be back in February to play in a newly renovated Russo Park at Tigue Moore Field.

Thank you to Cajun Nation! Two years of my life I will never forget! @SaidAtTheTigue
