Baseball: Cajuns finish in top 10 in final pollsThe Advertiser, June 28, 2014 The Ragin’ Cajuns are ranked sixth in the Perfect Game poll, seventh in the Baseball America poll, tied for eighth in the USA Today coaches’ poll and ninth in the Collegiate Baseball poll. UL finished the season with a 58-10 record and were the Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament champions. The Cajuns advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals, where they lost to Ole Miss in a three-game series. In every poll, UL is the top-ranked team that did not play in the College World Series. Vanderbilt was the unanimous No. 1 team in all the polls after the Commodores won the national championship by beating Virginia in the College World Series finals.
