Baseball: Baton Rouge Super Regional To Start Saturday at 7 p.m.BATON ROUGE – Coming off of a NCAA Regional Championship in Houston, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team will face No. 2 national seed LSU in a best-of-three Super Regional starting Saturday at 7 p.m., the NCAA announced Tuesday morning. The opening contest will be televised on ESPN2.
The Cajuns (42-21) and Tigers (51-10) will meet again on Sunday for game 2. First pitch will either be 5 p.m. on ESPNU or 6 p.m. on ESPN2. Game 3 would be played Monday at a time to be announced Sunday if necessary.
Consistent with all postseason events that are not hosted on the Louisiana campus, RCAF donors will receive first priority to purchase tickets for the entire Super Regional three-game series. Priority ticket requests will be based off of the 2015 RCAF Annual Fund donation levels.
Vermillion and Louisiana Classics donors have the ability to purchase up to four all-session tickets per account. Donors within the other donor levels (Athletics Director’s Circle, All-American, All-Cajun, All-Conference, Coaches’ Staff and Varsity Club) will have the ability to purchase up to two tickets per account.
The Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic department, at the behest of head coach Tony Robichaux, will host a watch party for each of the contests during the Baton Rouge Super Regional at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field. Admission is free and gates will open 30 minutes prior to each contest. Fans can either watch the game from the field or in their usual seats. Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed for use on the field. Umbrellas and small tents are also allowed for use to stay out of the heat.
Sodexo will provide the full concessions menu that is offered during the season including all beverages. There will also be free popcorn while supplies last. No outside food and beverage are allowed at the "Tigue".
