Baseball: Arizona, Sam Houston, and Princeton To Join Cajuns At Lafayette Regional

 

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team will be joined by Arizona, Sam Houston State and Princeton at the Lafayette Regional hosted at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field starting Friday, the NCAA announced on Monday.
 
The top-seeded Cajuns (41-19) will face the fourth-seeded Ivy League champion Princeton (24-19) in the night game at 7 p.m. on Friday at The Tigue. The second-seeded Wildcats (38-20) are set to face third-seeded Sam Houston State (41-20) in the opening game of the regional on Friday at 1 p.m.
 
All of the games at the Lafayette Regional will be broadcast on ESPN3 with Brett Dolan providing play-by-play and Tom Holliday adding color.
 
Fans can also catch the Ragin’ Cajuns games on News Talk 96.5 KPEL-FM with Jay Walker making the call. Live stats are available on RaginCajuns.com.
 
Louisiana is the only non-power 5 school to host a regional this year. The winner of the Lafayette Regional will face the winner of the Starkville Regional.
