Athletics: Ragin’ Cajuns and Cox Ink Three-Year Sponsorship Deal

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Athletics has a new official sponsor in Cox, which signed on to a three-year deal in coordination with Ragin’ Cajun Sports Properties.
 
"The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns are a major economic driver in the region, and their organization provides athletic events that bring the people of Acadiana together to support and cheer on our home teams," said Julie Dronet, vice president of the Cox Acadiana market.  "In collaboration, the Ragin’ Cajuns and Cox remain committed to world-class higher education, strong athletics programs and quality entertainment – creating a win-win partnership."
 
The sponsorship deal comes on the heels of Cox serving as the title sponsor of the Ragin’ Cajuns’ annual fan day event, held at the Cajundome Convention Center on Aug. 11. Cox will serve as the official game sponsor of Louisiana’s game vs. Coastal Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 22. Fans are encouraged to visit Cox’s Virtual Reality Football Experience at Cajun Field’s Gate A for that game.

"This deal further cements that commitment to the Acadiana area and Louisiana Athletics. Cox’s involvement, and other sponsored elements, will be on display to Ragin’ Cajuns fans as Louisiana Football opens the 2018 season at home on Saturday, Sept. 1, against Grambling. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ESPN3.
 
Season tickets and individual game tickets are currently on sale for the 2018 Louisiana Football season, with the Ragin’ Cajuns playing six Saturday home games.
 
Fans can purchase tickets through the Louisiana Athletics Ticket Office at the Cajundome, by either visiting the office in person or by calling (337) 265-2357. Fans who cannot make it to the Cajundome can get their tickets online by visiting RaginCajuns.com/Tickets.
