Athletics: Bradley Joins Ragin’ Cajuns Staff as Operations CoordinatorLAFAYETTE – The Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics Department announced Wednesday the hiring of Mary Diana Bradley as operations coordinator. The hiring is pending approval by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.
Bradley will oversee the event management duties for all women’s athletics events, primarily serving as the game manager for women’s soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball and softball.
The hiring of Bradley serves as a “homecoming” for the alum of the University. Bradley is a 2010 graduate from UL with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology/sports management.
“I’m so thankful to have been given this opportunity to work for UL and support the Cajuns not just as an on-looking fan, but through my everyday work,” Bradley said. “With UL being my alma mater and having previously worked in athletic operations at Long Island University-Post Campus, this position couldn’t have been a better fit for me.
“I love the school, the people, the town and the direction the athletic programs here are taking,” Bradley added. “I’m excited to be back in Cajun Country and look forward to growing in this position as well as helping the department continue its overall success.”
Bradley most recently served as an athletics operations and special events assistant at LIU Post in Brookville, N.Y., from September 2011 to present. Bradley assisted with staffing, set up, operation and breakdown of the department’s 15 Division II athletic programs.
Bradley was LIU Post’s game manager for field hockey, women’s swimming and men’s lacrosse. She served as operations manager of the 2012 NCAA Division II softball championship East Regional and the 2012 NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse championship first round.
While working at LIU Post, Bradley volunteered with football operations at Stony Brook University.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree at UL, the El Dorado, Ark., native was a member of the University’s powerlifting team, earning All-American honors at collegiate nationals in 2009 and 2010.
Her postgraduate ventures in Lafayette included serving as team planner for the Natural High 5K run and assisting operations for Love Swimming, L.L.C. from Feb.-Aug. 2011.
