Athletic Media: Cajuns, MyKLAF-TV Renew Broadcast Partnership For Baseball, Softball

16-game package to start with softball on Feb. 21

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns athletic department and MyKLAF-TV have renewed a broadcasting partnership that will have the station televise eight baseball and eight softball games during the 2015 season, officials announced earlier this week.
The agreement will mark the 15th year that MyKLAF-TV will televise Ragin’ Cajuns baseball games and the 11th season covering Ragin’ Cajuns softball. All games are tentatively scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN3.
"We are thankful once again to MyKLAF-TV for continuing in a partnership of showcasing both our nationally renowned Ragin’ Cajuns baseball and softball programs to our tremendous fan base here in Acadiana and around the world," Louisiana Director of Athletics Scott Farmer said. "Both programs have enjoyed great success over the years, and with the opportunity of having our games available through ESPN3, we will be able to show fans across the country and around the world what it means to be a Ragin’ Cajun."
The package will begin on Sunday, Feb. 15, when the Ragin’ Cajuns softball team hosts Idaho State in the 2015 Mardi Gras Classic. Other games on the softball package will include a Feb. 22 contest against McNeese State in the finale of the Ragin’ Cajun Invitational, along with doubleheaders against UT Arlington (March 13), Troy (March 21) and 2014 Women’s College World Series participant, Baylor (April 11).
