A Letter & Request From Scott Farmer, Director of Athletics

CoxCommunications

Open Letter to Ragin’ Cajuns Fans;

With the football team currently in first place, the soccer team completing is best regular season in program history, the baseball and softball programs returning from NCAA post-season appearances, the start of highly anticipated basketball season around the corner, and all of the work being done in relation to the Facilities Master Plan, I mean it more than ever when I say that IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A RAGIN’ CAJUN.

Now, once again, we need your input.

The Athletics Department and the RCAF, working with the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA), has asked Dr. Geoffrey Stewart and his team to evaluate the impact that Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics has on the local economy. As part of this process, Dr. Stewart and his group will be on campus on Saturday before the New Mexico State game, asking fans to provide an email address where a web-based survey may be sent.

If you are asked to participate, please take part.  Think of it as being your way to "hold the rope" as Athletics moves into one of the most important periods in its history.

Dr. Stewart’s study will provide valuable data for our Department and the City of Lafayette on the degree this Department serves as an economic engine.

Thanks for everything you do and Geaux Cajuns!

Scott A. Farmer
Director of Athletics
