The Sweetheart Reunion Committee recently met to discuss plans for the upcoming Nov. 1-2 reunion. With the reunion less than four months away, the committee needs your involvement. That may take on a variety of forms later, but for now, attendance at the August 1 meeting is critical.

First Need: COMMITTEE MEMBERS & Participation at the Aug. 1 Meeting 
Many great ideas were provided BUT…. In order to move forward with our plans, major items need to be discussed and finalized to have a successful reunion. Thus, your involvement is needed – please let Sherry know if you plan to attend the next reunion meeting at 1:00 pm., on Thursday, August 1 by emailing Sherry Richard LeBas at srlebas@att.net 

The meeting will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in the lobby meeting room to the left.

Second Need: PARADE TRANSPORTATION
The committee also welcomes your ideas along with any contacts you may have in helping with the different aspects of the reunion. As part of the Saturday reunion activities planned, we are looking to participate in the morning homecoming parade. We must provide our own float/trolley/flat bed, etc. Email Sherry LeBas at srlebas@att.net if you have such a contact along with the particulars in using the float, etc…like the cost for use, if they provide a driver, a place for decorating, etc.

Reunion Activities Scheduled With Other Possible Activities:
Friday, Nov. 1st Sweetheart Reunion Social @ the Petroleum Club/ times are TBA (confirmed)
Friday, Nov. 1st Decoration of Float/ time and location TBA (tentative if secure a float)
Saturday, Nov. 2nd Participation in Homecoming Parade (contingent on securing of float)

Saturday, Nov. 2^nd On-field Recognition at football game (confirmed)

Many wonderful ideas for other activities (like a 30 second sideline limited performance at the Football game, float decoration party, etc.) have surfaced and your attendance is needed for these ideas to be evaluated.

We want this to be a fun-filled weekend, where fond memories prevail and new ones are created. The next meeting is critical for the success of the reunion.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars and look for upcoming registration information!

Photos for most of the AN Dance Teams photo galleries were copied from the L’Acadien; thus, the photo posted for 1970 is for the 1969-70 team.

However, profiles reflect involvement at any time during a calendar year, so a Sweetheart who was on the 1969-70 team, should have both the 1969 and 1970 years checked. They participated in both calendar years, yet the yearbook photo was not published until the end of the Spring semester of that academic year.
