Each time the Ragin’ Cajuns take the field, excitement is in the air.  Every game day the excitement begins as the fans sit in the parking lot tailgating before the game.  While the Alumni are grabbing a bowl of Jambalaya, other fans are listening to the music under the Oak Tree.  As they enter the line to make their way into "The Swamp", the energy amongst the fans grows.  When they walk into Cajun Field, the first view is of the football field.  Many kids run up to edge of the hill to see the "Boys in Red" warming up on a carpet of green.  As the fans pour into the stadium and make their way to their seats, the Pride of Acadiana marches onto the hill and plays the Fight Song and Respect.  Once the teams finish warming up and make their way into the locker rooms for final game preparations, the Pride of Acadiana marches out to the familiar beat of the drum.  The crowd awaits the beloved Cajuns as the victory run is completed with the world’s largest Louisiana state flag.  Then finally, after a day and quite possibly a week of excitement creeping inside every fan, the Fight Song is played once more and the Ragin’ Cajuns storm onto the field.
