Louisiana Classics 3/18: presentation of a $25,000 donation by the Cajun Road Runners Club (CRRC) to the UL Track & Field program of proceeds from the Cajun Cup 10K race in November, 2016. Geaux Run, a local running specialty store, is the title sponsor of the Cajun Cup 10K race. The Cajun Cup will host an average of 1,500 runners annually on a fast and scenic 6.2 mile course held the second Saturday of November. Louisiana Classics 3/18: presentation of the Foster Rogers Award by the Cajun Track & Field Officials Association (CTFOA) to Pat Arceneaux. The Foster Rogers award highlights an individual who has shown great dedication to the UL Track & Field Program and the sport of track & field in the local community. Pat Arceneaux has been involved in the sport of track & field as an athlete, a coach, or an official for over 60 years. The CTFOA provides assistance to UL and the local community by helping to organize and run meets at the university and high school levels. The members of the officials association volunteer the time and their expertise to provide a fair and well-run track & field meet.
