Beryl Shipley Military Information

Remembering the VETERANS with appreciation and respect
It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN
, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN
, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN
, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN
, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

So much gratitude is due the VETERAN.

This page of the  Athletic Network endeavors to document the military experience of those current/former Athletes and/or Support Group members who served/are serving in the military. Any branch of the U.S. military is important, including the Louisiana National Guard and the reserves.

Please review the alphabetical list of military personnel below and send the names/information for any person who is missing and who should be added to the list. Any information you may add to a person’s military experience is appreciated.

Individual pictures of military personnel in their military attire should be emailed to the Athletic Network in a jpeg file. Please include the year of the picture (if known).  Please provide as much information as possible regarding the military experience, including branch of service, rank, entry date, discharge date, basic training, tours of duty, area/s of assignment, honors or special recognitions, and any other information which would help document one’s military experience.  The military information will be placed in the AN profile.

There is no space requirement for this information. Please include as much information as you want viewers to read and appreciate.

Please email athleticnetwork@louisiana.edu  with photos or information on our veterans. Peace, Ed Dugas
