Louisiana Athletics Announces Game Promotions for 2020 Football SeasonAnnual Homecoming game set for Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Coastal CarolinaLAFAYETTE – Game themes and promotions have been set for the 2020 Louisiana Football season, with each contest at Cajun Field including a number of ways to show support for the Ragin’ Cajuns and community engagement. The 2020 schedule features five home games, all of which fall on Saturday. The first home game of the season, Saturday, Sept. 26, vs. Georgia Southern is the 20th Annual Herbert Heymann Classic, presented by Super 1 Foods. Additionally, the game includes a special in-game video board presentation from the LHC Group to recognize a hometown healthcare hero. The Saturday, Oct. 17, game vs. Coastal Carolina is the University’s Annual Homecoming Game. Themed "Timeless Traditions", the week will bring all the pageantry and excitement of homecoming with different activities and events to campus. The title sponsor of the Coastal Carolina game is Our Lady of Lourdes. Louisiana faces off against divisional foe Arkansas State on Saturday, Nov. 7. The game will serve as the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game, presented by LUS Fiber. University faculty and staff will be honored throughout the game with video board recognitions. The contest will also be the Rally Program Appreciation Game, at which local businesses that participate in the department’s Rally Program will be recognized for their support in advancing the Louisiana brand. The Saturday, Nov. 14, game vs. South Alabama serve as the Law Enforcement and Military Appreciation Game, presented by Manuel Builders. Known as the Annual Louisiana Salutes Game, the contest also serves as the blackout game. Fans are encouraged to join the football program by wearing black Ragin’ Cajuns attire to the game. Lastly, the game is RCAF Day at Cajun Field. The final home game of the year, Saturday, Nov. 21, vs. Central Arkansas, will be Senior Day at Cajun Field. Additionally, the game has been selected as the Cajuns Care Game in conjunction with the United Way Day of Giving and the Campus Cupboard Food Drive, supporting the university organization and other local food banks. The title sponsor of the Central Arkansas game is Hancock Whitney. Should disruptions or modifications to the 2020 season occur due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Department of Athletics will quickly communicate plans to fans and season ticket holders regarding accommodations for pre-purchased tickets.
