Brown has signed a three-year contract with the Houston Texans, the team that selected him in the sixth round of the NFL Draft last April. Brown’s contract is for $1,000,300, including a $75,300 signing bonus. A junior college transfer, Brown made a big impact on the UL defense in his two years with coach Rickey Bustle’s program. As a senior in 2004, Brown had 55 individual tackles and 46 assists for a season total of 101 stops that led the Cajuns and was fifth in the Sun Belt Conference.
