www.ragincajuns.com – Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns soccer team will host a Big 12 and SEC opponent and celebrate its 10th anniversary season in 2009.

The Ragin’ Cajuns schedule features 19 regular season matches with five of the first seven being played at the Cajuns Track/Soccer Facility.

During that opening stretch Louisiana will host Baylor (Big 12) on Sunday, Sept. 6 and LSU (SEC) on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The Cajuns will have a road-laden Sun Belt Conference schedule as seven of the 11 league contests are on the road.

The 10th anniversary season begins with an Alumni Exhibition on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.

The following weekend McNeese State (Aug. 21) and Stephen F. Austin (Aug. 23) visit the Cajuns Track/Soccer Facility to begin the regular season portion of the slate.

UL’s first road trip of the season takes the team to Oklahoma for meetings at Tulsa (Aug. 28) and Oklahoma State (Aug. 30).

The non-conference slate then concludes with a three-match homestand starting Sept. 4 vs. Northwestern State followed by Sunday matinees with Baylor (Sept. 6) and LSU (Sept. 13). The final non-conference match takes place on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Southeastern Louisiana.

Louisiana begins Sun Belt play on Friday, Sept. 25 at North Texas – the first of seven league contests on the road.

Sun Belt weekends at the Cajuns Track/Soccer Facility take place Oct. 2-4 (Arkansas State/UALR) and Oct. 16-18 (WKU and Middle Tennessee).

The 2009 SBC Tournament will be held Nov. 4-7 in Boca Raton, Fla., at the FAU Soccer Complex.
