Former Baseball: Jose Alvarez heads up Fellowship of Christian Athletes Clinic & Golf TournamentIt’s time for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes annual golf tournament here in Lafayette! We’ve changed things up a bit this year and the tournament will be on Friday afternoon (we’re hoping for that cool, fall afternoon weather) and the Youth Clinic will be on Saturday morning! Jose Alvarez, former USL standout and Atlanta Braves pitcher, will again be heading up the tournament and conducting the FREE Youth Clinic. Joining Jose, the tournament committee consists of his former Cajun teammates, Raymond Richard and Phil Stilwell, along with college friends, Scott and Tina Creel. I’d like to invite you to be a part of this year’s tournament and to learn more about FCA – the largest Christian sports organization in America – when Jose addresses the golfers during a post tournament awards presentation. Should you choose to be a sponsor and not a participant, I encourage you to stop by the golf course to hear Jose’s message and gain some understanding of FCA’s impact on today’s world.
