Quick Slants Youth Sports Magazine growing exponentially – Summer 2012 issue is out

Quick Slants Youth Sports Magazine is something former L’Acadien editor Paul Angelle dreamed up while living in Mandeville, La.  He put together his first issue in his spare time in late 2010, covering youth sports [high school and below] throughout the North Shore area around Lake Pontchartrain.

While visiting Lafayette, Angelle ran into an old friend and fellow UL graduate Jeff Elmore.  Elmore, after looking at the freshly-printed magazine, insisted that the magazine have an Acadiana version.  Things moved quickly.

Within one year, two more UL graduates were added to the Quick Slants team.  Another former L’Acadien editor, and current local designer, Elizabeth Bell joined the team.  Local businessman Matt Roth, an individual with more ties to local youth sports than could possibly be mentioned, came on board as well.

QS Media Group, LLC formed and the first Acadiana issue of QuickSlants launched at the 2011 Kiwanis Jamboree.  20,000 copies spread throughout the area, and the magazine has grown with each and every issue.

The magazine, which still exists on the northshore as well, is a high-quality, glossy, full-color publication dedicated to highlighting the positive athletic achievements of the young people in the community.  The magazine is a free publication and is available throughout Acadiana.
