With the Ragin’ Cajuns leading 31-14 at half, Peoples caught a pass from Terrance Broadway, broke free down the sidelines and turned it into a 78-yard touchdown, the longest catch of his career. The game was his third career 100-yard game and his third game of 10 or more catches.
Louisiana Tech linebacker Chip Hester returned an interception for the touchdown in a win over Virginia to earn defensive honors; and, Southeastern’s Robert Alford returned a punt for a score in a 31-21 win over Lamar that helped him receive special team honors. ![]()
