Ragin’ Cajuns Stats App Now Available for Download

Live statistical data from home events is now available any place, any time

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics has partnered with TapStats, L.L.C. to offer a new IPhone, Ipod touch, and IPad app that provides real time statistics at your finger tips. Fans throughout the world now have access to the same information as the media during home football, basketball, baseball and softball games.

The application is now available in the Apple Store and can be downloaded using ITunes. The app costs only $4.99.

Louisiana is one of just 11 schools in the nation to have this app and ability to provide its fans access to statistical data (others include Missouri, Kansas, Baylor, North Texas, Texas Tech and Florida State).

TapStats provides a unique way for fans to follow the action and stay up-to-date right from their phones, or anywhere nationwide and worldwide, with just a few touches. It will be extremely helpful during the overlap season of football/basketball or basketball/baseball & softball, as fans and media will be able to keep track of the action no matter which venue they are at.

TapStats is the official stat provider for the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics Department and is designed for use by all staff, media, and fans to provide the most detailed, up to date and reliable stats for all football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball home games. Plans are in place to include volleyball and soccer in the near future.

Some of the key features include historical archives, live scores from around the country, and multiple views for quick references during the game. Smooth, crisp text, displays all data clearly and concisely.

In the near future the app will come with special promotional announcement features that will be available to only those who have the app.

All that is necessary for TapStats to operate is a standard wireless internet connection. If that is not available, the 3G version of the iPad will allow use anywhere there is cell phone coverage. The iPhone version of the software always operates across its own cellular internet connection.

ABOUT TAPSTATS, L.L.C.

Founded in 2006, TapStats, L.L.C. was founded and self funded to build a revolutionary stat display system for media and game-day staff that reliably and effectively displays live stat data during an event. This system was built to replace an antiquated system still in place at many locations and was designed using state-of-the-art technology to provide users easy access to every important piece of data available.

In 2007, the first TapStats installation was made at the University of Kansas for use at football and men’s & women’s basketball events.
