Home Phone: 337-412-7345 Bubby’s Living Memorial to the Coach Faulkinberry Tribute is followed by football and family information. The LM was submitted on 5/26/2017 and posted by Dr. Ed Dugas that day. Russ Faulkinberry’s Living Memorial, Carlton “Bubby†Falgout – Football 1959-62, Track & Field 1959, Weightlifting 1961 & 1962, Graduate Assistant Football Coach Fall 1962 & Spring 1963(5/26/2017) I had the privilege of playing football at USL during my senior year under Coach Russ Faulkinberry. My first impression of Coach Faulkinberry was that he was unapproachable and very difficult to communicate with. As time went on I began to see improvement in myself and to realize what he was wanting me to strive for. This led to a better understanding of his philosophy and resulted in his actually complimenting me for my improved performance. After my senior year Coach Faulkinberry offered me, and I accepted, to work with him as a graduate assistant. I feel that he was instrumental in helping me to get my first head-coaching job at Mt. Carmel in Abbeville at the age of 23. Coach Faulkinberry has played an important role in developing my work ethics and discipline. He has been a positive impact and influence in my life. * * * * * Co-captain football 1961
