Football: Seniors, Greats Honored At 2013 Ragin’ Cajuns Football BanquetSENIORS, GREATS HONORED AT 2013 RAGIN CAJUNS FOOTBALL BANQUET LAFAYETTE The most successful senior class in Louisiana Ragin Cajuns football history, along with many greats in the history of the program, were honored at the annual Football Banquet that was held last week at the Cajundome Convention Center. The night saw the return of several Cajun greats, including Brian Mitchell, Jake Delhomme, Ladarius Green, Dwight Bentley and Michael Adams. Former Cajun great and NFL All-Pro Orlando Thomas, who is battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), was honored with the first-ever Orlando Thomas Courage Award with his high school coach, Louis Cook, accepting on his behalf. Head coach Mark Hudspeth honored the 17-man senior class that won 30 games in a four-year period, that was capped by the Cajuns third consecutive victory in the R?L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, along with the school-record 11 Ragin Cajuns that earned All-Sun Belt Conference honors.
