She earned the title of being the 3 time State Champion in the 300M Hurdles and Runner up in the 100M Hurdles. She ran for ULL Ragin Cajun track team 2008-2010. Freshmen year she had a PR in the 400m Hurdles 65.5 and was red-shirted sophomore/junior year due to Open Heart Surgery. Sara found out she was only receiving 80% of her oxygen for her entire life. After Heart surgery Sara was planning on running her junior year but because of her congenital heart defect, it was too risky. She will never leave the sport of track and field. It’s her all time passion and she will pursue to coach.
