Cristian Maico Matochi enters his first year with the Raginï¿½ Cajuns
volleyball team. While with the Cajuns, Matochi will be working
towards a bachelorï¿½s degree in sports management.
Matochi has been involved with volleyball since he was a 14-yearold
boy in Sorocaba, Brazil. He has extensive coaching experience,
including serving as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Redlands
Community College in El Reno, Okla., the Assistant Coach at
Academia de Ensino Superior and working with a youth team in
Sorocaba.
Matochi graduated from Redlands Community College
with an associateï¿½s degree in May 2008. In 2004, he graduated
from Antonio Vieira Campos School and attended Academia de
Ensino Superior.
