Earl’s Coach was Robert L. Browne, who also served as Athletic Director.
Submitted by Robert Earl Hollier, He ran the mile and mile relay, and as a sophomore ran the mile in 4:35.
Earl attended school with several athletes whose names now appear on campus buildings.
He liked to quote former UL President Joel Fletcher saying “with enough money we could close down that school East of the Mississippi River.”
He passed away in 1992.
