Kim is one of those unique athletes who played for three of the coaches for whom tributes are being built. Please find below Kim’s LMs for Coach Faulkinberry, Coach Cole, and Coach Banna followed by information he provided earlier.

Kim Brigham (Football 1970-72, Track & Field 1971 & 72)

His Faulkinberry LM was submitted on June 26, 2017 and posted by Dr. Ed Dugas on Sept. 3, 2017.

When I first met Coach Faulkinberry he appeared to be aloft. He kept us all focused (all the time).

He was a stickler for the rules. I know because I ran more stadium stairs than anyone on the team. He was consistent and he demanded your best.

I never understood all his rules, but I stopped asking because they worked. I grew up big-time at USL.

Russ Faulkinberry was the reason that I did well academically and athletically. I learned to compete and that was huge because we all had been pretty good in high school, but college athletes rise above that and compete at a higher level and against tough odds.

Rest well Coach . You touched a lot of lives!

Robert “Bob” Cole’s Living Memorial, Kim Brigham – Football 1970-72, Track & Field 1971 & 72

His LM was posted for the Coach Cole Tribute on June 27, 2017. Posted by Dr. Ed Dugas, Sept. 3, 2017

Coach Cole recruited me to attend UL to throw the shot put and discus. After getting there, I requested to play football. He set up a meeting with Coach Faulkinberry and I signed to play both sports.

Coach Cole cared about everything I did. He made sure that I progressed in both sports by providing constant encouragement and making sure that I worked hard.

He never gave me an excuse. He pushed for excellence. I loved that man!

Bobby Banna’s Living Memorial, Kimmett “Kim” Brigham – Football 1970-72, Track & Field 1971 & 1972

My first college scrimmage – I was introduced to a fiery spark plug of a coach who chewed me out royally for jumping off sides!

Later I learned that he was hard but fair- because everyone felt his wrath! However he helped us to be Champions!!

Thanks COACH ! You Are still THE BEST!
