Grace Louise Hebert Prince, Former Red Jacket, Obituary
June 21, 2009

Grace Louise Hebert Prince, 78, a native of Abbeville and resident of Houma, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church with a private burial on Thursday.

She is survived by four sons, David Prince and wife, Leigh, of Houston, Brian Prince and wife, Suzanne, of Lafayette, Karl Prince and wife, Georgie, of Houma, and Doyle Jr. and wife, Gayle, of Houma; five daughters, Kathy Prince LeBoeuf of Sikes, Brenda Prince Schmitt of Houma, Joan Price Kelly of Sikes, Karen A. Prince of San Jose, Calif., and Patricia Prince Rhodes and husband, Todd, of Houma; one brother, O.J. Hebert and wife, Barbara; one sister, Earllean Hebert Arceneaux and husband, Jack;19 grandchildren, David, Sarah, and Emily Prince, Thadd, Brock and wife, Reed, and Ryan Prince, Damian LeBoeuf, Adam and wife, Laura and Patrick Schmitt, Gavin and Dylan Kelly, Matthew Prince, Jake Sibille, Brad and Kyle Rhodes, and Ashleigh, Dustin, Ross, and Lauren Prince; and three great-grandchildren, Baylie and Hunter Prince and Hayes Thibodeaux.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Doyle James Prince Sr.; her parents, Oscar and Earllean Hebert; and two sisters, Emma Hebert Davidson and Yvonne Hebert.

She belonged to the SLI Red Jackets, was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, a member of the Bayouland YMCA, and loved participating in aquatic aerobics classes with her very close friends. She was a strong, faith filled woman of God and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Grace Hebert Prince Passed Away June 18, 2009

Corinne Randazzo emailed the Athletic Network that Grace Hebert Prince of Houma passed away on June 18. She had received the outstanding Red Jacket Award at the graduate awards breakfast in 1953. Thank you, Corinne, for providing the information on Grace’s passing.
