Home Phone: 318-323-6446 Inducted into Louisiana High School Coaches and Louisiana Sports Writers Halls of Fame. * * * * * Obituary: Charles “Charlie” Brown – Managers 46-51 & Football 51-53 – Military Veteran – 4/11/2011 Charles Brown Charles Brown Obituary Services celebrating the life of Mr. Charles Brown, 82, will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday April 13, 2011, at Neville High School Football Stadium with Rev. Dale Walker, Neil Shaw and Coach Mickey McCarty officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, La. Private family burial was held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Coach Brown died suddenly Monday April 11, 2011, at the St. Francis Medical Center. Coach Brown received his BS degree from Southwestern La. University and his Masters from Northeast La. University. He was a retired teacher, football and baseball coach at Neville High School, as an assistant for 12 years and head coach for 30 years. He also served his country in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. Survivors: his wife, Mrs. Lou Brown; Sons, Thomas D. Brown and wife, Sandy, Robert C. Brown and wife, Ann and William R. Brown; Grandchildren, Todd Brown and wife, Vanessa, Ginny Montgomery and husband, Joe King, Brett Brown and fianc?, April Williams, Zachary Brown and Zane Brown; Great Grandchildren, Hunter Brown and Sienna Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be all Coach Brown’s former coaches and players.
