Married Trudy Andrus of Bunkie, Louisiana, (SLI 1956) in 1953. Four Children: Susan, Thomas, Robert, and Todd. Five grandchildren. Two great-grandchildren.

I graduated from Hyatt High School, Fields, LA. In 1951 I played for three years under Coach Reinhardt and for one year under Coach Shipley with a three-year stint in the Korean War in-between.

B.S. (SLI-1957), M.Ed. (SLI-1958), D.Ed. (MSU-1975)

While receiving a masters degree, I worked directly under Coach Shipley with freshman players. After graduation, I began coaching at Sugertown High School 1959-1960 (the gym is still standing). Chosen outstanding coach in State of Louisiana 1961-62. When small schools began to consolidate, I worked as principal at East Beauregard. I received my D. Ed. in 1975, and retired from Louisiana Teachers Association. Since my retirement, I have been actively involved in Real Estate Development.

I am very appreciative of getting to play one year under Coach Shipley, he taught me a great deal about self-discipline.
