Golf: Vermilion Links Golf Club Newly-Formed Support Group for Cajun Golf

Vermilion Links Golf Club

The Vermilion Links Golf Club, the newly-formed support group for the Ragin’ Cajun golf program, is continuing its drive to raise $500,000 through solicitation of 100 “founding members” to pledge $5,000 each over a five-year period. But the group is also preparing to announce plans for other opportunities for golfers, businesses and individuals to support the Cajun program.

“We want to create new fans and new supporters,” said David Church of the Vermilion Links organizing committee. “We’re not going to be limited by numbers … we want to create something special and something that will help the program for years to come.”

The group is helping raise funds toward completion of the proposed office, locker room and practice facility for the Cajun team next to the Oakbourne practice range. Other funds will go to direct support of the Cajun team and program, including potentially hiring an assistant coach.
