Track and Field: Hughes’ Personal-Best Leads Cajuns At Texas Relays
Beyer finishes seventh in high jump; Carter 13th in men’s 100-meters

AUSTIN, Texas – Tyler Hughes recorded a personal-best time in the men’s 110-meter hurdles and Franz Beyer earned a seventh-place finish in the high jump to lead the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns track and field team during the second day of the 89th NIKE Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
The final day of action begins Saturday with Morgann Leleux scheduled to compete in the women’s pole vault for the Ragin’ Cajuns at noon.
Hughes, who posted a career-best mark 14.56 at last week’s Louisiana Classics, finished 12th overall after posting a time of 14.36. Beyer, who debuted last month with a jump of 6-11, cleared the bar at 6-7 to finish seventh overall in the Section B final.
In the men’s 100-meter dash, Hanoj Carter finished 13th overall with a time of 10.55 seconds while Kaitlyn Moreau (14.70) and Jasmin Fusilier (14.73) finished 46th and 48th in the women’s 100-meter hurdles.
