Baseball: Baseball To Play All 2017 Home Games At Russo Park2017 Russo Park Info
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team is set to play all of its 2017 home games at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park, Interim Director of Athletics Jessica Leger announced on Tuesday. "This is huge for us," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "As excited as we are about the new stadium, we are equally excited that we will not have to leave here to play home games. I have to commend The Lemoine Company on what they have been able to do including allowing us to be out on the field all fall. "This is mostly important for our fans, as they will not have to travel to another venue to watch us compete," Robichaux added. "It’s also important for the integrity of the teams we play. "So many people have had to put in work to make that happen from our administration to The Lemoine Company to Dr. Savoie. I can’t tell you how happy this makes myself, our coaches and our players to be able to play in front of our fans on a field that we know best." The Ragin’ Cajuns open the home slate on March 3-5 when they play host to Southern Miss in a three-game, non-conference series at Russo Park. Season ticket renewals begin Monday, Dec. 19, while season tickets are anticipated to go on sale to the general public starting Jan. 27, 2017. For questions, contact the Cajundome Box Office at (337) 265-2357 or email ultickets@cajundome.com. All seats, other than Patio Suites, will initially be General Admission (GA) until the stadium is fully functional and all premium seat areas are available. All season tickets cost $175, while the excellence fund fee differs based on seat location.
