She was a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family, church, and community.

She was a graduate of ULL, where she received a B.S. in Education and later her Masters from LSU. She began teaching in Texas, but ultimately found her calling teaching inmates furniture refinishing and upholstery at The Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women (LCIW), where she taught for 25 years.

It was there that she developed a program that won the US Department of Education Award and later the Louisiana Vocational Teacher of the Year Award in 1986. Her work at LCIW is best described in her own words, "I feel that it is my job as an instructor to afford the student with the instruction, guidance, friendship and the opportunity to succeed-so vital to the task of being successful in the world outside the prison walls."

She was a devout Catholic who taught catechism at St. Pius X Catholic Church and was instrumental in the fundraising for the school’s first library and developing the Children’s Liturgy Program. She later joined St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, where she continued to teach catechism, and developed the Double Nickels Club, an organization for members over 55 years of age. Members of the club traveled together and participated in service projects in the community. Her love for children was evident through her service as a Cub and Girl Scout Leader for 20 years combined, and while volunteering for the Catholic Youth Organization in Texas.

Bobby was a fierce leader; a woman ahead of her time. She shared her gifts with everyone and had a smile that lit up the room. She loved everyone she met and was a fearless steward for the Lord in her community.

The true loves of her life were her children and grandchildren, who best remember her for never missing a ballgame, cheering from the stands, and serving snowballs to everyone after.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna Belle Taylor. Left with loving memories are her children, Barbara LeBlanc Nosacka and husband John, and Shawn LeBlanc and wife Renee, grandchildren Jessica Sellards and husband Cary, Kristen Bergeron and husband Taylor, and Stephanie Love and husband Jarrod, Cody, Kyle, and Kalyn LeBlanc, and great-grandchildren Adelaide and Henry Bergeron, and Emmett Sellards.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area, at 3772 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70806, or www.alzbr.org. Visitation will be held at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, with interment immediately following at Green Oaks Memorial Park.
