LAFAYETTE – When Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball fans attend games at the Cajundome beginning in November, they will notice new enhancements, including the relocation of one of the more popular gameday experiences from the 2017-18 season to a pair of new courtside locations.

After receiving feedback on a pair of fan surveys, the popular Bayou Bar will be moved to two courtside locations beginning in the 2018-19 season. The move to courtside, which is similar to many professional arenas, will provide greater fan satisfaction along with increased revenue.

A new LED scorer’s table will be installed prior to the 2018-19 season, with the Ragin’ Cajuns Gameday Ambassador program providing customs service, including parking shuttles and in-game hospitality.

"Following our fan surveys from last season, and a lot of lengthy dialogue with donors and season ticket holders, we’ve added several new enhancements to the gameday experience for the upcoming season." Louisiana Deputy Athletic Director Nico Yantko said. "We heard a lot of positive feedback on the new Bayou Bar, but fans wanted this premium experience in a more convenient location. With the recent success of these concepts at Cajun Field and Russo Park, we know this experience is desired and adds value to the game-day experience for both donors and season ticket holders."

The new hospitality areas, which will be for both fans seated courtside in rows 1-4 and RCAF members at the All-American level ($2,500) or higher, will be located near the team tunnels with premium liquor and beer sales within a short walking distance on the main floor. Televisions in the areas will allow fans to watch each Ragin’ Cajuns game, along with other games, with cocktail tables located near the court to allow fans to mingle and enjoy the game.

The current perch where the Bayou Bar was located in 2017-18 will be converted as an addition to the Kids Zone.

SEASON TICKETS ON SALE TO GENERAL PUBLIC; RCAF PARKING PASSES AVAILABLE
Season tickets for Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball are currently on sale to the general public.

Season ticket prices have been set for the 2018-19 season with seats beginning at $100. Fans who were season ticket holders last season may renew their seat locations online at RaginCajuns.com using Account Manager, or by calling the Louisiana Athletics Ticket Office at (337) 265-2357.

RCAF Annual Fund members who want premium parking for the 2018-19 season will be required to purchase a season pass for an additional fee of $60.

To be eligible to buy a premium parking pass, RCAF members are required to purchase season tickets and make a contribution to the RCAF Annual Fund. Parking lot location eligibility for each sport will be based on membership level within RCAF.

The new policy is consistent with other Division I athletic programs, complies with state regulations, aligns with University policies associated with RV parking and tailgate locations, and supports the department’s priorities of graduating student-athletes and winning championships.

The Ragin’ Cajuns officially opens their 2018-19 season at home on Nov. 6 against the University of the Virgin Islands. Louisiana will also host Southern (Dec. 1), Loyola of New Orleans (Dec. 5), Prairie View (Dec. 11) and Louisiana Tech (Dec. 15) in non-conference play before opening its Sun Belt Conference slate against Arkansas State on Jan. 3, 2019 at the Cajundome.

Louisiana will also host Little Rock (Jan. 5), South Alabama (Jan. 24), Troy (Jan, 26), Georgia Southern (Feb. 7), Georgia State (Feb. 9), ULM (Feb. 16), Coastal Carolina (Feb. 28) and Appalachian State (March 2) in SBC games.

GET YOUR LOUISIANA PASSPORT
Also part of the ticket plan plan includes the "Louisiana Passport," which will recognize fans who attend all eight of Louisiana’s games against in-state opponents during the 2018-19 season.

Passports will be distributed for Cajuns fans traveling to the New Orleans game on Nov. 28. Each game, fans will get their passport stamped at a location to be determined. In-state games for the Ragin’ Cajuns include home games against Southern (Dec. 1), Loyola (Dec. 5), Louisiana Tech (Dec. 15) and ULM (Feb. 16), with road games slated against New Orleans (Nov. 28), McNeese State (Dec. 18), Southeastern Louisiana (Dec. 29) and ULM (Jan. 19).

At Louisiana’s game against ULM on Feb. 16, those who have a completed passport with eight stamps will be recognized on the court at some point during the game.

Louisiana, which won a school-record 27 games last season under head coach Bob Marlin, returns eight letterwinners and three starters highlighted by seniors JaKeenan Gant, Malik Marquetti and Marcus Stroman.
