LAFAYETTE – After helping Louisiana’s offense to a 40-hit, 28-run weekend at Coastal Carolina, junior Todd Lott has been named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s (LSWA) Hitter of the Week, the organization announced on Monday.

Lott joins shortstop Hayden Cantrelle and right-handed pitcher Brandon Young as the only Ragin’ Cajuns to be recognized by the LSWA this season. It is also the first weekly LSWA honor of Lott’s career.

The Jacksonville, Florida, native led the team with nine hits, seven RBI, an .824 slugging percentage and five runs scored en route to the team taking two of three games over the Chanticleers in Conway.
