Louisiana Softball Announces 2020 Television Broadcast ScheduleEight games are slated for national television coverage
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Softball returns to the national airwaves in 2020, with eight home contests part of the program’s television broadcast schedule. The selected contests are scheduled to air in primetime television slots on either Cox Sports Television (CST) or ESPN�, live from Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park. The ESPN� coverage will once again feature the broadcast partnership of Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame member Dan McDonald and NFCA and Louisiana Sports Hall of Famer Yvette Girouard, for the majority of the broadcasts. Below is the complete broadcast schedule:
- Saturday, Feb. 15 vs. Louisiana State – 4:00 p.m. – Cox Sports Television (CST)
- Friday, Mar. 13 vs. Appalachian State – 6:00 p.m. – ESPN�
- Friday, Mar. 27 vs. Texas State – 6:00 p.m. – ESPN�
- Wednesday, Apr. 1 vs. McNeese State – 6:00 p.m. – ESPN�
- Friday, Apr. 3 vs. South Alabama – 6:00 p.m. – ESPN�
- Saturday, Apr. 4 vs. South Alabama – 2:00 p.m. – Cox Sports Television (CST)
- Wednesday, Apr. 29 vs. Louisiana Tech – 6:00 p.m. – ESPN�
- Saturday, May 2 vs. ULM – 2:00 p.m. – ESPN�
All other home games (except Feb. 15 vs. Samford) will be streamed live on the Internet, free of charge, at RaginCajuns.com/Watch. ESPN’s multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service, ESPN� is available on a subscription basis for $4.99 per month. Viewing is available online at WatchESPN.com or through the ESPN App. Cox Sports Television, broadcasted to more than four million homes, is available in the Lafayette area on Cox Communications Cable (Channel 37 and 1037) and LUS Fiber (channel 35). No. 8 Louisiana (52-6, 25-0 Sun Belt in 2019) is set to begin the highly anticipated 2020 season on Friday, Feb. 7 at Lamson Park, opening play in the 34th Annual Louisiana Classics against Ball State at 4 p.m. and UTSA at 6 p.m. It’s the start of a season-opening, eight-game homestand which concludes with a meeting with Louisiana State on Saturday, Feb. 15 (the Tigers first visit since 2001).
