Baseball: Louisiana Releases 2022 Schedule
Sixteen games against NCAA Regionals part of Ragin’ Cajuns diamond slate

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball team officially released its 2022 schedule on Thursday, featuring 16 games against teams which competed in the NCAA postseason, highlighted by three-game series against UC Irvine and Southern Miss at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
Louisiana, which finished 32-23 and claimed the Sun Belt Conference West Division title under head coach Matt Deggs, will open the season against UC Irvine (Feb. 18-20) and will also host non-conference series against Southern Miss (March 4-6) and Houston (March 11-13).
After opening the season at home with UC Irvine and Southeastern Louisiana, the Ragin’ Cajuns will make their first trip of the season to the Round Rock Classic, opening with 2021 College World Series participant Stanford on Feb. 25. Louisiana will wrap up the weekend in Texas with games against Indiana (Feb. 26) and Arkansas (Feb. 27).
Louisiana’s non-conference schedule will see home-and-home midweek contests against SLU, Northwestern State, McNeese, and Nicholls while also making a pair of trips to Louisiana Tech, first on March 8 with a follow-up trip on April 5.
The Ragin’ Cajuns will also travel to the Crescent City to face New Orleans on March 9, will travel to Baton Rouge to face LSU in the Wally Pontiff Classic on April 19 and will play a two-game midweek slate at Rice (May 10-11).
Louisiana opens Sun Belt Conference play on March 18-20 at Troy before hosting South Alabama in a three-game series on March 25-27. The Ragin’ Cajuns will host SBC series against Georgia Southern (April 1-3), ULM (April 14-16), UT Arlington (May 6-8) and Little Rock (May 19-21). The Ragin’ Cajuns will travel for SBC series at Arkansas State (April 8-10), Georgia State (April 22-24), Appalachian State (April 29 – May 1) and Texas State (May 13-15).
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament returns to Montgomery, Ala., at Riverwalk Stadium on May 24-29 with the winner receiving the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals.
Season ticket renewals for Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball are currently underway for the 2022 season.

Season tickets require a $100 investment to the RCAF Annual Fund. Premium seat holders will be contacted by the RCAF at a later date regarding renewing premium seating.
