Dance Teams Captains Network

The Sweethearts were the dance team of the university during the 1960-82 years. During the 1982-83 school year, there was no dance team at the university. In the Fall 1983, the newly-organized dance team began performing with a new name, Ragin' Jazz.  

In order to provide strong leadership for each year, Athletic Network Captions and Co-captians for a five year era need to be named, along with a Captain and Co-captian for the years listed within each era.

Within the General Information Page is information on how to view the alphabetical listing of teams by year and also information on how to view the photo gallery for photos of each of the Sweethearts years. These two resources should assist each captain in contacting Sweethearts without active Athletic Network profiles.
 
The Sweethearts Network Co-captains are Chris Becnel (1968-72) and Sherry Richard LeBas (1967-71). Your cooperation with them to build the Sweethearts Network is appreciated.

Sweethearts interested in serving as an era or year captain or co-captain should email athleticnetwork@louisiana.edu and state the era or year which they wish to be captain or co-captain per the format below. This will allow each leader to arrange for another teammate to work cooperatively with them in building the number of Sweethearts who have active Athletic Network profiles complete with a current email address. This effort is vital to every thing else which the Sweethearts may attempt in the future.
