RAYNE - Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Harold Thomas Goertz Jr., 73, who died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at his residence.

Entombment will be in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoluem in New Orleans at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite D. Goertz; one son, Harold T. Goertz III; four daughters, Beverly Fussell and husband, John, Kathy Bassemier and husband, David, Patricia Gebhart and husband, Jim, and Mary Ann Scheet and husband, Ron; 10 grandchildren; mother, Rose M. Goertz; one brother, Gerald Goertz and wife, Ginger; one sister, Janice Wall and husband, Ronnie, and one brother in-law, Emile Daboval.

He was preceded in by his father, Harold Thomas Goertz Sr.

Mr. Goertz was a Ret. Lt. Col. Air Force Reserve. He was also a member of American Legion, Rayne Lions Club, U.L. Alumni, Holy Cross High School New Orleans, Y.M.B.C., past president of U.L. S Club and retired from Shell Oil.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today by St. Joseph Catholic Daughters.

The family requests visiting hours be observed from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service Monday.
