Gerald Deacy Hodges

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral home Chapel for Gerald Deacy Hodges, 84, who died at 9:47 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 in Jennings, LA
Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church will conduct the service and the burial will follow in the Maxie Cemetery. The family request visitation be observed on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Hodges was born Feb, 26, 1927 in New Orleans, La. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. He owned and operated Hodges Insurance Agency in Eunice for 20 years. He was a 1948 graduate of SLI where he played 2 years of first string football.

He is survived by one son Clyde Hodges and his wife Catherine of Crowley; one daughter Sidney Anne Gula and her husband Tom of Florida; two stepchildren Paula Guillory and her husband Stephen of Eunice and Chuck Andrus and his wife JoAnn of Eunice; 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Hamilton Hodges and Sidney Brown Hodges; his first wife Leah Jane Fruge Hodges; 2nd wife Norma Jeane Faulk Hodges; a stepson Lawrence Andrus; a grandson Ian Andrus and two brothers William Henry Hodges, III and Clyde H. Hodges, Jr.
