His Living Memorial to Coach Bobby Banna is below the one to Coach Blanco.

In 1967 I was recruited by Coach Blanco from Catholic High School, New Iberia.
After an automobile accident injury prevented playing my Freshman year, Coach “red shirted” me and I was able to work with the team as an equipment manager.

While this allowed me to continue with the Football Team, the experience also taught me many life-lessons that I continue to carry today and pass on to my children.

Coach’s huge personality matches his heart in size and I cherish many fond memories with him.

Looking back that second chance offered in 1967 changed the direction of my life and I will always be grateful to Coach for that.

God Bless you Coach!

Ken Blanchard

Bobby Banna's Living Memorial, Ken Blanchard - Football 1968-70

I am fortunate to have Coach Banna as a mentor and friend since 1963. I must admit at times it was difficult to recognize the “value” of some of his advice in the short term.

Today, I treasure the advice and continue to admire the work ethic and values Coach instilled in his players.

Coach, may God continue to bless you and your family.Job well done!!
