Louisiana Women’s Basketball Announces 2021-22 Sun Belt Conference Schedule

Ragin’ Cajuns open league slate at home for first time since 2012-13

LAFAYETTE – Featuring three of its first five league games at the CAJUNDOME, Louisiana Women's Basketball and the Sun Belt Conference released the 2021-22 women's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
 
For the first time since the 2012-13 season, the Ragin' Cajuns will open league play at home when it hosts UT Arlington on Dec. 30. Louisiana then rings in the New Year on Jan. 1, 2022, when Texas State comes to town.
 
The team will get its first taste of road play the following week when its heads to Arkansas State on Jan. 6 and Little Rock on Jan. 8.
 
Louisiana then hosts Troy on Jan. 13 in a rematch of the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Championship Game before hitting the road for a three-game trip to South Alabama (Jan. 15), Appalachian State (Jan. 20) and Coastal Carolina (Jan. 22).
 
Following that trip, the Ragin' Cajuns return home for three-straight games when it hosts in-state foe ULM (Jan. 29), Little Rock (Feb. 3) and Arkansas State (Feb. 5).
 
Three of the final five games will be on the road, with visits to Texas State (Feb. 10), UT Arlington (Feb. 12) and ULM (Feb. 19), before closing out the season with contests against Georgia State (Feb. 24) and Georgia Southern (Feb. 26) in Lafayette.
 
Louisiana is coming off a successful 2020-21 campaign in which the program won its first-ever Sun Belt Regular Season Championship with the help of a 15-game winning streak, the longest in school history.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns advanced to the Sun Belt Tournament Championship Game and closed out the year with their first appearance in the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT).
 
Louisiana's non-conference schedule, TV schedule and tip times will be released at a later date.
