Golf: Gudjonsson, Flynn Lead Louisiana to Third-Place Finish at Craft Farms Intercollegiate
Duo each posts top-10 finishes as Ragin' Cajuns finish behind Cincinnati, South Alabama

GULF SHORES, Ala. – Charlie Flynn recorded a 3-under-par 69 while he and teammate Bjorn Gudjonsson each recorded top-10 finishes to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team to a third-place finish at the 2021 Craft Farms Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Craft Farms Golf Resort Cotton Creek Course.
Louisiana posted a team score of 7-over 295 in the final round to finish the 54-hole tournament at 11-over 875 and finish behind team champion Cincinnati (865) and co-host South Alabama (871). Lipscomb was fourth overall in the 13-team field at 881 followed by Ball State (882), Texas State (882), Eastern Michigan (886), Illinois State (889), Southern Illinois (890) and Lamar (894).
Flynn charged up the leaderboard on the final day, posting one of three total rounds in the 60's on the final day and finishing the week for Louisiana in a tie for seventh place at even-par 216.
Gudjonsson, who posted a 4-over 76 in the final round, earned his second top-five finish in his career for the Ragin' Cajuns as he finished at 2-under 214 and two strokes behind individual medalist Matthis Besard of Southern Illinois.
Hunter Hammett rebounded from a pair of 7-over 79's in the first two rounds to shoot a 1-under 71 for Louisiana while Peter Hinnant carded a 7-over 79 and Hudson Dubinski an 80.
Louisiana will return to action on April 5-6 when it travels to Houston, Texas to compete in the 16-team Bayou City Collegiate Classic – hosted by Houston, Rice and Sam Houston – and played at the Westwood Golf Club.
