Phase 3 Safety and Ticket Information Announced for Diamond Sports
New capacity designations for Russo Park and Lamson Park allows for new ticket allocations
LAFAYETTE - As announced by the Office of the Governor on Tuesday, March 2, the state of Louisiana will move into Phase 3 of COVID-19 safety protocols and recovery, which impacts the game day experience for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns this spring. Fans are reminded that while sport venues in the state can open their facilities up to a maximum of 50 percent of total capacity, social distancing protocols are still in place for where fans can be located, in-venue. Notably, with those considerations, Russo Park has been elevated to a 37-percent capacity. In coordination with the State Fire Marshall, the Department of Athletics has been able to reopen for sale numerous seat locations within both Russo Park and Lamson Park. The Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation will begin contacting 2020 season ticket holders for baseball and softball on Thursday, March 4, with the option of purchasing season tickers for the 2021 season. New ticket locations will begin by RCAF Investor Rank where the previous allocations left off. The Department of Athletics appreciates the patience of fans, family and other supporters as this process is conducted. For Ragin' Cajuns Baseball, Russo Park's capacity under Phase 3 will increase by 15 percent for a total capacity of 1,897. Prorated ticket additions to the existing Vermilion and Blanc ticket packages will be $110, for a $10 value per game.
For Ragin' Cajuns Softball, Lamson Park's capacity under Phase 3 will increase to a total capacity of 493. Prorated ticket additions to the existing Vermilion and Blanc ticket packages will be $80, for a $10 value per game.
Fans are reminded that facial coverings or masks are still required to be worn in all common areas of both Russo Park and Lamson Park until further notice.
