Men's Tennis: Louisiana Takes Top Three Singles Matches, Falls to LSU 4-3
Box Score BATON ROUGE - Louisiana's top-three singles players outlasted Louisiana State's in their respective matches, but the Ragin' Cajuns dropped their match against the Tigers, 4-3, on Wednesday night.
Ivailo Keremedchiev and Karlo Kajin highlighted Wednesday's hard-fought match at Louisiana State. Keremedchiev earned a come-from-behind victory after knocking off No. 99 Ronald Hohmann, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0, while Kajin also played the role of comeback king by beating the Tigers' No. 2 singles player Rafael Wagner, 1-6, 6-3, 1-0.
Kajin's win marked the first time a Ragin' Cajun beat a Tigers No. 2 singles player since Feb. 8, 2011, while Keremedchiev helped Louisiana beat a ranked Tiger since Robin Ley defeated No. 100 Colt Gaston 3-6, 6-3, 4-2 in 2006.
